Croatia - An azure coast with over 1000 islands
It comes as no surprise that Croatia is getting more and more popular, particularly for yacht charters. The country has so much to offer: a mild Mediterranean climate, eight national parks, four of which line the countries stretched coastline, and last but not least a great cultural heritage. Tourists will find a very well developed service sector and a service orientated culture.
But most of all, Croatia is the land of more than 1,200 islands, most of which can only be reached by boat. Only 47 of those islands are permanently inhabited. Sailors enjoy the great wind conditions in Croatia. Short distances between attractive anchoring spots leave more than enough time for relaxation, for water and land activities or for trips to the beautiful surroundings.
Croatia is an ideal holiday destination, not only for nature lovers.
A large number of impressive cultural monuments testify to the country’s long and eventful history with the old town of Dubrovnik, Split and Trogir featuring on UNESCO's World Heritage list. For those who enjoy nightlife: The city of Hvar, located on an island of the same name, is frequently referred to as the “St. Tropez of Croatia”.
Start your yacht charter in Rovinj or Pula, for example, and sail along the Istrian coast, or get to know the magnificent Dalmatian coast from Trogir, Zadar, Split and other ports.
